Isodon ternifolius & Goniothalamus sesquipedalis are lesser-known medicinal plants found in the lower Himalayan ranges and hold deep cultural significance in regions like Manipur, where they have been valued for centuries. Their importance in local cultural beliefs suggests potential scientific relevance through combined and complementary uses. This survey explores the ethnobotanical and socio-cultural significance of these two plants. The Meitei community of Manipur has a long history of utilizing these species, and the current study highlights traditional methods used for air purification in homes. The plants' morphology, habitat, bioactivity, and secondary metabolites are reviewed to provide a comprehensive documentation. Additionally, the paper includes plant photographs and details of traditional uses.
