Abstract

Small-scale industries (SSIs) are vital to the Indian economy because they foster innovation, job creation, and regional growth. These sectors do, however, confront a number of difficulties, from budgetary limitations to technical breakthroughs. This essay examines the main difficulties that Self-Sanctioning Institutions (SSIs) in India confront and assesses the government's efforts to resolve these problems. Despite their significant contributions, SSIs have numerous challenges, particularly in the context of financial crises, technological improvements, and globalization. The government is essential in facilitating the sustainability and growth of SSIs through many initiatives, policies, and programs. This study examines the challenges faced by SSIs and evaluates the outcomes of governmental interventions. This essay provides an objective evaluation of the challenges and governmental initiatives related to SSIs in India. The study aims to offer insights into the efficacy of government schemes and recommend strategies for improving the performance of SSIs in the cutthroat global market through a thorough assessment of the literature and pertinent data.
